Kari's Bio:

Kari Orvik was born in Canada and lived in Alaska before moving to the Bay Area nine years ago. The photographs presented here were taken in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia in September of 2003. In addition to doing editorial and portrait photography, Kari is currently working on a documentary portrait project that focuses on housing in San Francisco. She also coordinates an annual art exhibition of blind and visually impaired artists in collaboration with the Rose Resnick Lighthouse and San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery in City Hall.
